IN THE BEGINNING
Camp Marymount’s roots reach back to 1939 when it was named Camp Happy Hollow in Joelton, TN, a small Catholic residential camp owned by the Diocese of Nashville.
A SMALL LODGE, INFIRMARY, AND NINE CABINS

Two to four weeks are designed for movement, teamwork, and trying new things on the field, in the woods, and around camp. Counselors create a positive environment where boys grow in confidence and resilience.

Our team of 60+ counselors and support staff includes many former campers who understand the Camp Marymount experience firsthand. This multi-generational legacy ensures authentic mentorship and creates a welcoming community where campers feel truly understood and valued.
Through our Marymount Open Scholarship Scramble (MOSS) program, we provide financial assistance to families based on need. We believe every child deserves the transformative camp experience, and we're committed to removing financial barriers through donations from alumni and supporters.
About Us
Camp Marymount traces its roots back to 1939 as Camp Happy Hollow in Joelton, Tennessee. In 1945, Monsignor George Rohling purchased 147 acres in Fairview to expand the camp, and we opened at our current location in 1946. Today, we operate as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on 350 acres of beautiful wooded hills. Recognized as Best Sleep-Away Camp by Nashville Parent Magazine, we serve over 700 campers and staff annually from 18 states and several countries. Our mission centers on building character and community through traditional outdoor experiences while nurturing faith and creating lasting connections. Many families return generation after generation, making Camp Marymount a cherished part of their family traditions. We welcome children of all faiths while maintaining our Catholic heritage, and we're committed to making camp accessible to every family through our scholarship program.
We serve children ages 6-16 (rising 1st through 11th graders) during our summer camp sessions. We also offer Family Camp and Adult Camp sessions for parents and adults seeking a camp experience together.
